Reading- Read 20 minutes each night

Next week in fourth grade…
Reading-. Next week in reading, students will identify the difference between theme and main idea. Students will also determine point of view in a text. Students will continue reading their historical fiction novel for reading groups.
Writing – Next week in writing, students will begin drafting a character analysis based on a character in Freedom Summer. Students will write an introduction paragraph and use details to support their body paragraphs.
Science- Next week in science, students will be classifying plants and animals according to their observable features. Students will be designing their terrariums and aquariums as we await the arrival of our live creatures.
Social Studies- Next week in social studies, students will interpret information from geographic tools to explain settlement patterns in the United States.
Math - Next week in math, students will read and compare multi-digit numbers. Students will begin rounding numbers within 1,000,000 to the nearest 10 and 100.

-We had another great week in 4th grade! It was really nice to see everyone at back to school night.
